We (especially kids) really have had a good time there last week, on our way back from apple picking at B J Reece Orchard. Amicola falls is on our way but we had no time this time. The hwy 52 is beautiful. The orchard is about 64 miles away from home but next time we may try another route, i.e. via Hwy 400 then Hwy 53 then Hwy 52.

Farmers Market and Farm Co-op in Cumming, GA
At the local fairgrounds, farmers come each Wednesday and Saturday mornings to sell their produce. Some bring flowers from their garden too. This is a fun and good place to go to get local home grown produce. I have also looked into a farming co-op that is located in Forsyth County as well. I will be calling/visiting this hopefully this coming week.
Today in the local paper, there is an ad in Dawsonville, a strawberry farm has u pick your berries available.
