Tips for the holiday

Here are some holiday tips I got from a seminar as holiday tradition in my place of work:

1. Health:

Juice into next year (Joe): jack la lanne Juice machine-around $100 US

walking: the best

stretching: some strength is important

Hiking: take to the woods

meditation helps training

*Watch Dan Buettner’s TED talk about how to live to be 100+.  Good health advice.

2. Family activities

Baking/cooking holiday treats

Family Movies: “It’s a wonderful life”

3. Books to recommend:
“Preventing and Reversing Heart Disease” and “The China Study” – Quoting from pf the colleages: “my only regret is I did not read these book a long time ago.
Learn to run (walk) by John Stanton

use the book “Juicing for Life” (Calbom, Keane) as a reference.  They really explain the benefits well and have some recipes for specific conditions.

Cannot upload photos from WordPress app?

It failed me from both n900 and touchpad.

Will try this out per WordPress suggestions:

I can’t upload photos/videos, I get a “Failed” error message. What do I need to do?

Geocaching

This is our second trip, but the 2nd and 3rd caches. Dahlonega,  once the first gold rush town, is a small and quiet lumpkin county seat, now is full with holiday spirit. We visited gold museum, visitor center and heard Christmas carol from a chocolate shop.

Touchpad: first impressions

While Ipad 2 is so light and slim, HP’s touchpad is even thicker than ipad1 with no rear camera and tried to sell at the same price with very few apps, no wonder this thing did not fly.

That said, the webOS multitasking is very impressive. I do like its email program better than any smartphones and tablets. I am expecting being a professional rather than consumer tablet, its Quickoffice should work like a charm. But so far I’m a bit disappointed. the virtual keyboard is really nice, by the way.

P. S.: after I posted this via touchpad s WordPress app, I am surprised to find the post was lost. It did not show up on my blog! After some digging after I logged into my blog via web browser, I finally found this baby. Fortunately it did not get lost. You know what, when I published this post using touchpad WordPress app, it got published on 1999. I have to search my posts using keyword touch to dig this post out via web ui.
