平生第一次：刻南瓜灯
对万圣节我和JY都不怎么感冒。以前万圣节出去看热闹的居多，自己动手的很少。这次本来想故伎重演，打算和JY合计一起混过去算了，可是YY不干，天天盼着家里也有一盏属于自己的“杰克沃”南瓜灯。这不，今天在家上班，JY上午就张罗着去买南瓜，同时把刻南瓜的重任一股脑儿扔给我。
平生还真没刻过南瓜，以前虽有公司活动有这一项，可从来没用心，动刀的是别人，我都没打正眼看过。现在要我刻就刻吧，好在现在有因特网，先去谷歌探个究竟，好家伙，光有关刻南瓜的小电影就有好几十，这下心里有底儿了，就从研究第一个小电影开始吧，咱得相信谷歌。
等大女儿放学回来，作胸有成竹状。不过女儿还真是个好帮手。先让她看一遍那个小电影，以保证她知道我们下面每一步到底干吗。YY先用笔勾勒出要刻出的“瓜皮帽”的大小，再创作出南瓜鬼脸的狰狞面目—我实在不知道它是在狂笑不已，还是一脸的狰狞。
经过一番雕刻，手中平生第一个南瓜灯基本成型。列位看官给打打分，看能得分几何？
Need to renew home insurance too
Check with all state and the rates are better. Need to check with my current insurance to match their rate. AllState also has better coverage.
Termite insurance
We finally decided to use chemical tech of ga as their ratings in kudzu is so good. They agree to lower their annual inspection from $165 to $155, but initial treatment remains at $659. They’ll cover up to $1 million including structural damage.
Called AllState after work and they’ll provide home insurance for $496($437 if car insuranced with them at the same time).
Sleep study
Yesterday I slept at Total Sleep Diagnosis to do a sleep study. I was hooked up with lots of wires/electrodes and belts. During sleep, I was put into a pressured air tube. Main reason is to see if I have sleep apnea.
