Nokia N900: some of my random thoughts so far
I bought this one from dell.com. The touch screen is not that responsive. The programs are freezing very often. No sensible apps at all.
Hold buying this device. Its UI design is wierd. No search function for your apps downloaded/installed.
Surprized to see so hyped reviews about this device and regret buying it after reading those reviews…

wordpress app in nokia n900
cannot upload any images. hanging there to load images…
still a buggy app. cannot upload images.
worst of all, it deletes ur posts without any confirmations or warnings. my suggestion: avoid using it.
it’s a shame that n900 has only those crappy apps and maemo select apps page has only 5 pages of apps without even a search function. compare with apple, nokia doesnot know a damn thing about how to attact customers. n900 is ok, but who will buy it without apps???

Finally got back from our trip to China. Lots of fun and tired, too.

You read the java doc. Yep, super easy.

String () aStr=s.split(“,”);
aStr will hold
A b c
How about if s is “a|b”?
Before pulling your hairs off, here is the answer:
S.split(“\\|”);
Do think about it why, though.
Answer: Because | and \ are special characters in java so you have to escape them.
N900 tips: how to activate scim-googlepinyin?
You installed it, but just could not make it work.
Trick: check if there’s a file called /etc/event.d/scim; If yes, just delete it. Wola, after that, CTL+SPACE, you’ll see Chinese characters prompted.
N900 and t mobile
Prepaid plan works well. Tested it yesterday and all is working. Skype, im, all is working. Web is non standard port like 8080 only. Not too bad at all.
