Going south on I-75/I-85 (from the north, Marietta, Buckhead, Norcross) take the 249D exit, the North Avenue exit. Take a left off the exit onto North Avenue . You will travel through one stop light before you reach West Peachtree Street. Take a left onto West Peachtree Street. (This is a one-way street going north.) Follow West Peachtree Street until you reach 10th Street. Take a right onto 10th Street. Crescent Avenue is your next right before you reach the next traffic light. You will see the house ahead of you once you turn onto 10th Street. Turn right onto Crescent Avenue and you will see our complimentary parking lot on the right .

From downtown Atlanta, head north on Peachtree Street. The house is on the corner of 10th and Peachtree Street. Take a left at the corner of 10th and Peachtree. Take your first left, Crescent Avenue, which is directly behind the house. You will see our complimentary parking lot on your right.

By public transportation:
The Margaret Mitchell House is one block east of the Midtown Marta Station. When you leave the Marta Station by the Peachtree Place exit, turn left and walk up the sidewalk to the light at Peachtree Street. You will see our entrance sign on the sidewalk.

Free Parking:
Free parking is available adjacent to the property.

Admission and parking are FREE.

Admission: Free

Vehicle Parking: Free parking is available on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue between Jackson Street and Boulevard.

No special arrangements are needed since most of the park is self-guided. However, you will need to register to tour the Birth Home of Dr. King. Reservations for touring the Birth Home are handled on a first-come first-serve basis the day of your tour, in person. No advance reservations can be made. Register at the Visitor Center Information Desk.
